Writers Block (Anyone)

[Derek Hayes]

Derek sighed as he leaned back in the seat he was in. Tapping his pencil on the table he was at, he stared blankly at the laptop screen in front of him. Finally having a moment to himself, Derek decided to get to work on the book he was starting to write and went to a small cafe that was by the condo he lived at.

Running his hands through his hair he let out an exasperated, obviously irritated that he had no ounce of inspiration at the moment.

[Anetha Johnson]

Anetha sighed as she went to the counter to order food bummed that she wasn't able to see her boyfriend.

[Derek Hayes]

Derek closed his laptop before he got up and walked over to Anetha.

"Hey buddy." He said, putting his arm around her shoulder as she stood in line.

[Anetha Johnson]

"Hey Derek." Anetha said with a slight frown.

[Derek Hayes]

"What's the matter?" Derek asked, resting his head on her shoulder.

[Anetha Johnson]

"Kellan couldn't fly in."

[Derek Hayes]

Derek raised up and saw the disappointment in Anetha's face.

"I'm sorry." He said as he hugged her. "What was the big oaf's excuse this time?"

[Anetha Johnson]

"Breaking Dawn's scheduling and he's not an oaf Derek." Anetha said as she thought about what she wanted to eat.

[Derek Hayes]

"He is to me." Derek said. "I hate seeing you sad."

[Anetha Johnson]

Anetha shrugged. "Happens when you date an actor who is also a model and playing a role that makes every girl want him. What brings you here?"

[Derek Hayes]

"Uh huh...that's an excuse. He could still try a lot harder to see you." Derek said. "I was getting some writing done."

[Anetha Johnson]

"He does alot to make sure he sees me. He'll be sending something soon as a way to show how much he misses me." Anetha looked at Derek. "So what you working on?" Anetha turned to place her order.

[Derek Hayes]

"Sending you something? Oh, that's way better than coming out to see you." Derek said, sarcastically.

"My book." Derek replied.

[Anetha Johnson]

"Be nice to him when you meet him." Anetha got her food. "Where are you sitting and what book?"

[Derek Hayes]

"Won't make any promises." Derek said as he lead her to the table he was previously at.

"It's nothing, just a novel I've been messing around with." He replied as he sat down.

[Anetha Johnson]

"What about?" Anetha asked as she sat down.

[Derek Hayes]

"I don't really talk about it...no offense." Derek said.

[Anetha Johnson]

"None taken." Anetha said as she started to eat her salad.

[Derek Hayes]

"Anything new going on with you?" Derek asked.

[Anetha Johnson]

"Not really. Just moved into my new place."

[Derek Hayes]

"I should get a key." Derek said.

[Anetha Johnson]

"So that you can walk in when I'm showering and eat all my food? No thanks Derek."

[Derek Hayes]

"Aw, please." Derek said, pouting.

[Anetha Johnson]

Anetha pulled a key from her purse. "You got to let me know you're coming in advance." She handed him the key.

[Derek Hayes]

"Thank you." Derek said, taking the key from her hand.
