A Return They Never Saw Coming (Becca/Shawn)

Becca sat on the couch next to the twenty-two year old crying blond. She knew about Shawn's daughter by his ex-wife Teresa, but she never expected Angela to show up on their doorstep. Shawn had walked away from Angela and her mother when she was only two years old after Teresa had given him an ultimatum, the pills or his family; and Shawn had chosen the pills.

Shawn came in with a sigh. "Becca I'm home."

"Living room Michael," Becca said. "We need to talk."

Shawn cringed at his first name. He walked into the livingroom and saw a young blonde.

"Long time no see, daddy," Angel looked up at him.

Shawn looked at her in confusion.

"Don't tell me you don't recognize her," Becca said.

He stared at her then realization dawned on him. "Angel?"

Angel nodded.

He looked at her in disbelief.

"What, thought I'd disappear?" Angel asked.

"No I just never thought I would ever see you again."

[Rebecca Hickenbottom]

"Do you even remember the last thing you said to me?" Angel asked.

Shawn shook his head.

[Rebecca Hickenbottom]

"You promised you'd be back for me," Angel sniffled.

"I'm sorry sweetie."

[Rebecca Hickenbottom]

"You promised!" Angel started to sob again.

"I know and I'm sorry."

[Rebecca Hickenbottom]

"You think that'll fix the fact that you've missed out on twenty years of my life?" Angel asked.

[Shawn Michaels]

"No but I can be here now if you want me to."

[Rebecca Hickenbottom]

"I have no other choice," Angel said. "Momma's in jail."

"What happened?"

[Rebecca Hickenbottom]

"She got addicted to heroin shortly after you left," Angel said.

[Shawn Michaels]

"I'm sorry I wasn't around Angel."

"You made your choice," Angel shrugged.
