Dave shook his head. "Don't be. I just wish I could've been there to help you, though it looks like you have it all under control."

"Oh, just wait until it's time for his insulin," Melina said. "Not pretty."

"Thanks for the warning, I'll probably hide behind the curtain." He told.

"As a matter of fact," Melina headed toward the kitchen. "It's almost time now."

"That sounds like my cue then." Dave joked as he nodded his head toward a curtain.

"You said you wanted to help," Melina said, grabbing a vile of insulin.

"Yes, until you gave me that warning." Dave chuckled.

Melina chuckled, filling the syringe.

"Why don't you go get him?" Melina asked. "Just don't tell him."

Dave scratched his head. "Uh, what if my expressions give it away? I'm not exactly the best liar."

Dave shook his head and walked inside of Daniel's room, he knocked on the already opened door.

"Hey kiddo, uh - your mommy wants to see you." Dave said uneasily, he hated this job.

Dave smiled and walked Dave out back toward where Melina was.

"There's your mommy."

Melina motioned for Dave to sit on the couch.

Dave nodded and headed over with Daniel toward the couch. He lifted Daniel up, and placed him on an empty spot on the couch before he took a seat nearby him.

Melina whispered in his ear. "He's gonna try to run, don't let him," Melina said.

"Gotcha." He said as he casually placed his hand softly on Daniel's shoulder.

The minute Daniel caught sight of the needle he curled up against Dave and whimpered.
